This invaluable App let’s you backup your SMS messages the easy way: just push them to your Google Mail account!

If you have any problem with this App: don’t be afraid to send me an email. I will fix every problem as soon as possible.

  1. After the last updates this app now only sends my received messages to my gmail account. At first it was sending both the send and received messages. Also can you fix it so that it uses the contacts name instead of there cell numbers. This app works great except for the 2 issues I mentioned. I used this on a G2 phone

  2. I did not touch the mechanism which reads the SMS sent by you. But, after an update, it might happen that the process, which observs the outgoing SMS folder, has been killed by Android.

    The process gets restarted as soon as you reboot your device or wake it up when it is in standby mode. No outgoing SMS will be “lost”. The App remembers which outgoing SMS was last transfered, so with the next sync, all SMS you wrote will be pushed to Googlemail.

    Regarding the contact name: thanks for this idea. I will think about a solution as soon as possible and notify you when I finished this feature.
